Terms and Conditions

General

For the purposes of this document, “You” means the customer and “We” means Happy Renovation Technical Services LLC and its employees.

 

Other Definitions

Renovation or Work – any quoted piece of work we agree with you and carry out in accordance with a confirmed schedule.

 

Job – an ad-hoc or on-demand piece of work with a duration of less than one day.

 

Home Visit

Each property is unique, and each job is different. Therefore, we cannot provide a quote or a work schedule without visiting the property and assessing the complexity of the work and associated materials.

 

Standard Payment Terms

For maintenance works lasting less than one week, we require an advance payment of 50% with the balance payable upon completion. For longer renovation works, we require an advance payment of 30% upon acceptance of our quotation, a further 30% at the mid-point of the works with the balance upon completion. Works will not start until a deposit payment has been received.

 

Schedule of Work and Quotations

A schedule of work is agreed with you before it is confirmed. Reducing the scope may not be possible once work has started. If additional works are required, we will provide you with an updated quotation.

 

Depending on the nature of the work, we may add specific terms and conditions to a quotation. The overall terms and conditions associated with any work include conditions set out on this page as well as any additional conditions stipulated in the quotation.

 

Validity of Quotations

Quotations are valid for 30 days.

 

Exclusions

Access permits, security fees, building management fees, temporary electricity, and water are to be provided and paid by you. We will not remove or change any fire alarm panels.

 

Payments
We accept bank transfers, UAE cheques, and UAE-issued debit and credit card payments using secure Stripe payment links. By using Stripe secure payment links, you are also accepting Stripe’s T&Cs.

 

Delays Caused by the You may be Chargeable

Once work has commenced, if any delays are caused by you, we reserve the right to charge you for the labour cost associated with the team we had allocated to your work. It is your responsibility to ensure that any permissions necessary for us to access and/or carry out the work are obtained prior to the start date. Similarly, should you choose to source any materials (eg. tiles, fittings) yourself, it is your responsibility to ensure that the item arrives on or before the date needed.

 

Circumstances Outside of Our Control

Work may be delayed due to staff illness or delays related to the agreed materials we are responsible for. Should this happen, we will inform you as soon as possible and agree on a revised schedule.

 

Use of Subcontractors

From time to time we may use subcontractors to carry out works, but they will be supervised by our employees and we will remain responsible for the services provided to you. 

 

Liability

We will not be legally responsible to you under this agreement unless UAE law states otherwise. We will not be legally responsible to you, your family, or any other person such as a tenant for any loss of business, revenue, profits or savings, or any other indirect loss or damage. This clause will continue to apply to our relationship with you after this agreement ends.

 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any legal proceedings relating to this agreement can only be brought in the courts of Dubai.
